About us
Ten years of BMW calibration, and a lifetime of engineering before that. Velocity Tuning began with our own F10 M5: 1,000 BHP, the fastest in the country, and 220 mph in 2018. Today we are a BMW-only calibration and engineering house near Colchester, dedicated to the S58, B58, S63 and S55.
Built on code
Our story starts long before BMW tuning: on 128MB hard drives and 56k modems, writing code when every byte mattered. That discipline carried us through the era of 16-bit engine management and into today's Bosch MEVD17 and MG1 BMW ECUs.
We work in WinOLS with A2L definitions, reading each calibration exactly as the manufacturer structured it, table by table and axis by axis. Combined with a racing and engine building background that knows exactly what an engine requires at full load, it means every VT calibration is engineered rather than adjusted.

One workshop. Every discipline.
- Calibration: developed in-house on our own 4WD dyno, from road-legal Stage 1 to four-figure drag builds.
- Precision engine building: every forged engine is assembled by hand in our own workshop. Piston ring end gaps are filed and set for the boost and fuel each build will run, bearing and piston-to-wall clearances are measured and recorded, and every fastener is torqued to specification. Gearbox upgrades get the same care.
- Complete packages: hardware, installation, gearbox calibration and engine calibration, delivered by one team and priced up front.
- Remote calibration worldwide on MHD, bootmod3 or 1769, refined from your datalogs.
Proven before release
No VT package is released until it has been through extensive research and development on our own cars. Our fleet of development vehicles covers every engine we specialise in: an F10 M5 (S63TU), an F90 M5 (S63T4), an F97 X3 M and a G80 M3 (S58), each one used extensively for development.
The G80 M3 shows how far that goes: developed stage by stage from a stock-turbo VT650 through VT900, then hybrid turbos, a forged engine and a Kotte gearbox, to over 1,500 BHP on a single turbo today.
Every component we offer has been fitted, tested and validated by us before it reaches a customer's car.

Ryan builds our engines and leads the mechanical work, from turbos and fuel systems to forged engines and single-turbo conversions, and he treats every car as if it were his own.
