All BMW mainly from 2005 have measures to prevent mapping in form of RSA cryptography. This is a way for the ECU to verify the data being flashed into the ECU is from BMW and not modified. For those wanting extra power this needs to be bypassed.

Before the June 2020 ECU's being released, easily obtainable equipment most mapping companies possess was able to bypass this RSA and allow the tuner to modify the data within the ECU quickly and easily by patching ecu within a few minutes.

For years these newer ECU's could not be flashed but now we can unlock these in house in a fast and efficient manner.

When purchasing our custom mapping we unlock the engine ECU at no additional cost. Our Unlocks support direct flashing to the ECU, 1769, MHD and also Bootmod3 Custom Rom meaning those interested in 1000+ BHP or Flex fuel can have these additional features.

We do not open the ECU or risk the integrity of the ECU physically.

All ECU's have a full data backup before the unlock process and will be stored on our server.
